The 2024 B+LNZ Annual Meeting voting packs will be sent out from Wednesday 14 February so keep an eye on your mailbox in the days following.
About the voting process
If you’ve previously received annual meeting materials from B+LNZ you’re already on the electoral roll and will receive a voting pack sometime after Wednesday.
You don’t need to reregister. However if you’re not sure and want to check, you can:
- call B+LNZ on 0800 BEEFLAMB (0800 233 352) or
- email enquiries@beeflambnz.com
Voting is by post or online and instructions are in the packs.
There is one Director election, in the Northern North Island.
To be eligible to vote, a livestock farmer must, on 30 June 2023, have owned at least 250 sheep, or 50 beef cattle, or 100 dairy cattle. If you’re not on the roll, it’s easy to register using one of the contacts above – note you can register any time before midday on 12 March and you’ll then be able to vote online.
Annual Meeting and Showcase
The Annual Meeting and Showcase will take place in Nelson on 19 March.
We’re excited to confirm we’re working on plans for a farm visit in the morning – keep an eye out for details on that soon. The farm visit is always a popular part of the day and provides a useful opportunity to get out and about with other farmers and see great ideas in action.
The formal Annual Meeting itself will start at 2.15pm at the Rutherford Hotel in Nelson.
We’ll provide more information about the annual meeting and farm visit over the coming days and weeks.
Key dates
