Applications are open for the 2023 intake of B+LNZ’s nationwide Generation Next programme.
The free personal development programme is designed to nurture, assist and encourage the current and future farmers within our sector.
After years of successful programmes in B+LNZ’s Southern South Island region, the course is now offered nationwide with 20 spaces available at six locations across the motu.
The programme consists of three workshops over a six-month period that gives an understanding into farm management areas. Module topics vary but include developing decision-making skills, insights into technology and genetics, learning about mental health and wellbeing and much more. Read about a previous module here.
B+LNZ’s National Programme Manager Olivia Weatherburn encourages anyone wanting to take the next step in their farming career to apply.
“The programme builds the confidence and skills our next generation of farming leaders need to thrive. It provides an opportunity for individuals to grow their network and learn about what others in the industry are doing.
“Feedback from graduates has been overwhelmingly positive,” she says. You can see what graduates have said here.
Applications close 10 February 2023.
