Beef + Lamb New Zealand (B+LNZ) has begun its search to appoint an independent director to its board.
B+LNZ’s Chairman, Andrew Morrison says the board is looking to appoint someone who brings independent thinking, future-focused and is prepared to challenge and be challenged.
“Melissa Clarke-Reynolds has brought fantastic external experience in her role and really challenged us to think differently.
“Over the last three years, the independent director role has proven to be an exceptional way to get external influence and we’re excited to continue to gain valuable input from an independent thinker who shows empathy for sheep and beef farmers and their rural communities.
“We want to strengthen the board in key areas of Māori Agri-Business, Marketing and Information Technology. Candidates should have specific skills in one or more of these areas,” says Morrison.
This position brings independent judgement, outside experience and objectivity to the board table.
Applications close Sunday 1 November 2020.
