Open Farms is a fantastic opportunity for farmers to share their farming story – connecting urban Kiwis with the people and places that grow their food.

Open Farms is calling for farmers to sign up to host a 2025 event at their property – big or small, and all shapes and sizes.

Daniel Eb, founder of Open Farms, says the initiative is all about creating meaningful connections between farmers and consumers.

“We want farmers to feel confident and excited to host an event, no matter the scale. We support farmers from planning what the day will look like, right through to marketing.”

“After 14,000 visits, 130 events and great feedback across the board, now is the time to share your pride and passion for farming with others,” he says.

The Open farms day has proven to be both beneficial for farm hosts and visitors providing a real opportunity to have conversations about food production with consumers.
