Congratulations to the winners of the 2024 Massey Agriculture, Horticulture and Environmental Science Awards. B+LNZ is a proud sponsor of the Excellence in Agricultural and Horticulture Award for the third-year academic prize.

The recent awards dinner held 11 October in Palmerston North, spotlighted stand-out students and future leaders in New Zealand’s agriculture industries. View the full list of winners on Massey University’s website here.  

Beef + Lamb New Zealand (B+LNZ) is a proud sponsor of the Excellence in Agricultural and Horticulture Award for the third-year academic prize. 

Olivia Weatherburn, B+LNZ National Extension Manager and Angus Irvine, Regional Extension Manager – Manawatū/Hawke’s Bay, attended the award ceremony.  

Irvine says he was inspired by the passionate and bright young people in New Zealand’s agriculture industry. 

“It was fantastic to meet and get to know enthusiastic and talented students. It gives me assurance that the future of our sector is in great hands!” 

“You can tell they are very excited to start their careers. They were eager to use our networks in the primary sector to further develop their future careers,” he adds.
