Candidate profiles and voting papers will also be posted on Tuesday 14 February, along with annual meeting documents.
Election day is Wednesday 22 March and will be conducted by postal and internet voting.
To be eligible to vote, a livestock farmer must, on 30 June 2022, have owned at least 250 sheep, or 50 beef cattle, or 100 dairy cattle.
Livestock farmers owning at least the minimum number of livestock are encouraged to contact B+LNZ on 0800 233 352 or by emailing enquiries@beeflambnz.com to check if they are on the electoral roll or to get a voter registration form.
Online registration is available here and by selecting ‘Register on Beef + Lamb New Zealand Electoral Roll’.
Although the electoral roll closed for postal voting on Friday 20 January, voters can register on the electoral roll at any time before midday on 21 March 2023 and will then be able to vote online.
Farmers are already on the roll if they have previously received referendum and annual meeting material from B+LNZ, and don’t need to register.
